Yozgat Merkez, according to the building inscription on the southeast of Cumhuriyet Square, was built on H.1311 / M.1895.1896. It was built during the reign of Abdulhamid. It is built on two floors. Yellow cut stone was used as building material in the building. The entrance of the building is provided from a portico on the north side. The portico arches are seated on four cylindrical stone columns. There are leaf motifs in the sections where the arches are placed on the walls. The entrance from the portico to the building is provided by a stone-framed, round arched wooden winged door surrounded by columns. The keystone on the belt is in the form of a volute stone fragment similar to the snapdragon relief. There is a floral motif figure in a vase on a stone frame and an old Turkish script in a wreath. On either side of the door are two windows with round arches and stone frames. The building has a bay window on the porticoes on the northern side. In the bay window, there are three stone-framed windows with round arches and two windows on the sides. Under the windows of the facade, the building has an inscription written on marble. The inscription consists of three lines of writing divided by a ruler. 1311 is read in the inscription. In the triangular pediment of the exit is the coat of arms of the Ottoman state and in the middle is the monogram of Sultan Abdülhamit. There are eight windows on the 1st floor and eight windows with stone arches on the second floor. There are tuğra on a rectangular stone in the windows on the bay window and there are starboard motifs around it. Floor heights should be stone wiped. On the west side there are six windows on the first floor and seven windows on the second floor with round arched stone framed windows. The number of windows on the east façade is the same as on the west. On the south first floor, there is a second entrance door with wooden frame with stone frame in the middle. There is a round arched window on either side of the door. On the second floor, there are seven windows with round arches. The basement of the building is also available.
