Waterfall Bridge - Amasya
The construction year and the construction of this bridge, which is located 5 km outside the city center of Amasya, on the Tokat highway, at the junction of the 15th Infantry Training Brigade Command, is not known exactly. However, the general opinion is that the bridge was built by İltekin Gazi, one of the orders of Danişmend, in 1075. The bridge is 70 meters long, its feet are made of cut stone and its arches are made of bricks. There are triangular seliars on the western parts of the feet. There is an angled overhang on the western part of the leg in the middle of the bridge. Also known as İltekin Gazi Bridge, Çalak or Çalık is the most popular name for this bridge. These names are thought to be transformed from the words ‘çaglak’ or ‘çahlak gelen which means çağ cascade..
