Şeyhzade Ahmet Şevki Ergin Efendi (H.1322 - M.1906) came to the world in Yozgat. Although he was known as Şeyhzade, he was the grandson of the great Sheikh Haji Ahmed Efendi and the eldest son of his fifth son, Abdullah Arif Efendi. His mother was Hafiz Hanim, the daughter of the professor and sheik Mehmet Ali Efendi. His grandfather was Şeyh Hacı Ahmet Efendi, who was called “Great Sheikh ve and founded“ Halvetî Tekke Y in Yozgat as the caliph of erk Pir-i Sânî ”Şeyh Mustafa Efendi. Şeyhzade Ahmet Efendi started his education in the neighborhood school at Cevheri Ali Efendi Madrasah at a young age. After the madrasah, he enrolled in Yozgat Sultanisi and then in Daru’l-Hilafe Madrasah opened in Demirli Madrasah. Here, he took the help of famous teachers of his time such as Buyuk Ali Efendi and Dervis Efendi. He attended Daru’l-Hilafe Madrasa (Iptida Excluded) until the third grade and entered the first class including İptidâ in Istanbul, where he came to complete his incomplete education after the closure of this school. Upon the complete abolition of these schools, the Istanbul Imam Hatip School, which was opened in the same years, was admitted to the last year of the school and fell ill while undergoing education. Because of this illness, he took a long period of rest and returned to Yozgat by taking his certificate from the school. During his education in Istanbul, he tried to educate himself with the scholars and surpluses of the era. Mustafa Efendi from Gümülcineli, one of the Fatih Müderrises, advised him not to wander around here on one occasion and go to Yozgat and follow Gedikhasanlı Şakir Efendi. In 1925, while serving as a substitute teacher in Yozgat, he proposed that the proposed location be a town or village close to the former madrasah teachers. For this reason, he chose to be a teacher in the village of Karga (now known as Yeşilova) considering to be close to Müderris Şakir Efendi who was recommended by Gümülcineli Mustafa Efendi whom he met in İstanbul. After the death of his teacher Şakir Efendi in 1937, with the advice of Mehmed Hulusi Efendi, he reached the Istanbul-Ayazma Mosque Imam Hatip Mustafa Hulusi Efendi, served in his service for a while and received his appreciation and compliments. Şeyhzade Ahmet Efendi has rich knowledge and experience in every branch of Sufism. He is a perfect master in the Naqshi, Halveti and Qadiri sects with the authority he gained from mature people whom he met and continued his studies.
