Palaces in Kars
Beylerbeyi Palace: It was built in 1579 by Lala Mustafa Pasha at the foot of Kars Castle. The main entrance of the palace is in the west direction and the wooden ceiling separating the ground floor and the first floor has been completely destroyed. The palace was used as the Sancak Mansion until 1878, and it was used as a Government Building until 1918, and the palace was abandoned in 1918. Seljuk Palace: This magnificent palace, built on a steep rock in the northwest direction of the ruins, may not have been built, but it must have been built during the reconstruction works initiated by Ebul Menucehr Bey in 1064 after the conquest of the Seljuks. Since the first floor of the building, which was originally a two-storey building, was demolished, the ground floor and the basement floor reached today.
