Purple Seki Church

The plan of the church has two naves. The naves covered with barrel vaults are limited by two piers and triple arch opening. There are graves on the narthex floor to the west of the north nave. The frescoes are dated between the beginning of the 10th century and the 12th century.
Forty Martyrs from Sivas, Deesis on the southern pediment, and the Last Judgment on the western wall are seen in the south and south wall of the narthex vault. Prophecy of the Prophets in the apse dome of the southern nave, Mary in the middle under the lane, bishops on the sides; depictions of prophets in medallions in the middle of the vault; the Gospel, Visit, Water Experiment, Journey to Bethlehem in the upper lane in the southern half of the vault; Birth on the west pediment of the vault, the worship of the three astrologers and shepherds; Baptism in the lower lane, Entrance to Jerusalem, Last Supper; Escape to Egypt in the upper lane in the northern half of the vault, Women at the Empty Tomb, Anastasis (Jesus' descent to hell); Betrayal in the lower lane, Capture of Jesus, Jesus in front of Jesus Pilate, Caphae and Crucifixion, Burial of Jesus; the Ascension of Jesus in the arch of victory; Among the Daniel Arslans and saints are observed at the bottom on the western wall.
