Izzeddin Sir Mosque - Van

Izzeddin Sir Mosque - Van
It is generally dated to XIV-XV centuries. The building consists of a square mosque and a madrasah adjacent to its northern wall. In the northern part of the western façade of the building, there is a gateway to the madrasah courtyard and a second door to the mosque. The mosque is domed in front of the mihrab and has two falcons. The northern hawks are covered with transverse cradle vaults. The sections on both sides of the dome are considered as vertical vaulted spaces. In the middle of the Qibla wall, there is a niche with five sides. Smooth cut stone material was used in the structure. The minaret in the middle of the western facade has been added today.
