"Seleukeia Pieria" scattered on 300 hectares near the sea in Samandağ Çevlik village, or, in other words, one of the most important remains of the ancient city of Seleukeia in Pieria, Beşikli Cave is a completely rocky tomb complex. It was named as ad Beşikli Cave ın because of two stone sarcophagus graves with flat roofs, which were shaped by local people in the same size in the side of the tomb. In 18th and 19th century travelers, the passenger books were described as Kings Kabiri, and their engravings were drawn by W.Bartlett. The area where the island of Kabir is located is a necropolis area called the city of the dead in the earlier age, surrounded by rocky hillside rooms on the north, east and south side of the rocky hillside where the tomb is located. The entrance to the Kabir area was carried out with stairs on the west side. Some of these stairs are already visible. In 1938, the excavation was carried out by the American - French excavation committee and it was understood that the ruin of Kabir was robbed and destroyed in earlier ages. In 1998 and since 2002 Yrd. Assoc. Dr. As a result of the archaeological studies carried out under the chairmanship of Hatice Pamir, detailed documentation of the monument was carried out and the site was arranged around the area with the support of Samandağ District Governor.
