The Hacı Bektaş Veli Complex was founded by Hacı Bektaş Veli, the Turkish spirit of mysticism in the 13th century. Haji Bektash Veli, a mysticist and philosopher with an equal and humane thought, is believed to have lived between 1248-1337. Hacı Bektaş Veli, who is from Nişaburlu, studied philosophy, social and positive sciences at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi quarry in Horasan. Then came to Anatolia XIII. century, today in the district of Hacıbektaş began to spread a philosophy by establishing a dervish. The complex, in which the lodge lies, has been serving as a museum since 1964. Visitors to the museum can see the Tomb of Hacı Bektaşi Veli, known as Pir Evi, which is known as the Pirates of Çiller, Aş Evi, Kızılca Halvet built by Taç Kapı, Sadrazam Halil Paşa's wife Fatma Fikriye Hanım. . The museum also exhibits items of daily use, manuscripts and calligraphy samples of the Bektashi dervish.
