Gevaş Selçuklu Cemetery - Van
Seljuk Cemetery is located in Hişet District of Karşıyaka District of Gevaş District. The cemetery is a first degree archaeological site. The Halime Hatun Cupola is on the eastern side of the Seljuk Cemetery. According to the inscription on the entrance door, it was built by Melik İzzeddin for his daughter Halime Hatun in 1335. His master was Assad the son of Ahlatli Pehlivan. The funeral of the two-storey dome has a square plan and the door to the east is accessed by stairs. On the square base with chamfered corners. Covered with a pyramidal cone from the top, the dome was built with smooth cut stone material. The door to the north of the body was crowned and windows were opened in the other three directions. Triangular niches move the surfaces between them. All facades are decorated with floral, geometric and inscriptions in the form of strips and medallions.
