Old Teacher House - Kars
The three-storey immovable located on Halitpaşa Street in Yusufpaşa Quarter of Kars Province and registered in section 4, island 367, parcel 1 of the title deed was constructed in a rectangular plan in the east-west direction.

During the 40-year occupation of Kars in the Russian occupation after the Ottoman-Russian War of 1877-1878, the building was built in the style of BALTIK during the reconstruction works initiated by the Russians in the city.

The facade walls of the Old Teachers' House, which is made of cut basalt stone, are used in the architecture of this period. The entrance facade is north. on the second floor there are 6 windows on each floor. On both sides of the building, there are cartridge decorations in the roof areas and floral motifs on the windows.

After the proclamation of the Republic, the old Teachers' House became the property of the Treasury and after that date it was used as a Ziraat Bank building for a long time. In 1984, the building was reorganized as Teacher's House. During these restoration works, a two-storey reinforced concrete annex was built on the back of the building.

Since the new Teacher House was built, the building was evacuated in 2003 and allocated to Kafkas University in 2005. The restoration of the building was registered and taken under protection by the decision of the Regional Board of Erzurum Conservation of Cultural and Natural Assets dated 23.6.1988 and numbered 88.
