It was built about 2500 years ago to carry water from Banaz Stream to the ancient city of Pepouza in its immediate vicinity. Clandras Aqueduct, which shows Hellenistic period architecture, is narrow and single arched. It continues for 3 km with single / double canals formed by carving the rocks along the river in Ulubey Canyon. Aqueduct, which is one of the rare places with unspoiled natural beauty, can be used by the citizens to relax and have a picnic at weekends thanks to the promenade area, camping area and pool.
