BURDUR ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM

The Burdur Museum building was inspired by the architecture of the Ottoman Pirkulzade Library, which remained from the madrasah in the museum's garden. Founded in 1956 and Burdur reorganized in 2001. There are finds from Neolithic and Early Chalcolithic Age and old bronze age finds on the upper level. The second part, the entrance floor, is arranged in three sections. In the first section, the finds uncovered in the excavations in the ancient city of Sagalassos are found. One of the best emperors of Rome, the Emperor Hadriani and the giant statues of Marcus Auralius are exhibited here. In the second part, there are friezes in the Kibyra Antique City excavations. In the third section, there are nine first class marble sculptures that were excavated in the Kremna Antique City excavation.
