BRIDGE IN THE ÇOBANDEDE

The city of Erzurum was built on the Aras River in the Köprüköy district. Although it is not known exactly when and by whom it was founded, it is among the rumors that it was built in 13th century by Garhan Han, ruler of Ilhanli. The bridge was built with 7 arches. However, when the water flooded and especially in spring, the bridge was damaged. The bridge, which has reached 6 eyes, is not protected and used today. There are many stories and narratives about the bridge. Çobandede Bridge is located in the Köprüköy district of Erzurum, about 50 km from the city center of Erzurum. Located at the Pasinler District exit.
