Aydin Old Doganbey Village

Old Doganbey Village - Aydin
It is a village of Greeks who leaned on the Mykale Mountains (Dilek Mountains) and immigrated to Greece as a result of the exchange during the War of Independence. The residences, shops, hospitals and fountains in the village reflect the architectural features of the late Ottoman period. Since the village was abandoned by the villagers who settled in the past as a result of the exchange, the people who bought the houses were restored to their originality. Stone houses, narrow streets and natural beauties of the village, which attracts great attention especially with its architecture, are worth seeing. The village was established with the name "Domatia", which means "Greek rooms".
