Ayaz Pasha Mosque - Tekirdag
It was built in 1525 by Grand Vizier Ayas Mehmet Pasha. The grave inscription of Ayas Mehmet Pasha, who passed away in 1538, says Evahir-i Safer 946. Ayas Pasha Mosque is covered with a dome. It is a small structure with cut stone walls consisting of the last congregation place and the main room. Its thin cylindrical body minaret has a single balcony. In the inscription of the door, Allahümme Allahü Lena History Vedhuluha bi Salam Amin 977 is written. It is seen that the inscription that came to M. 1569 was put later. Ayas Pasha spent a large part of his fortune by making the palaces marvelous, and facilities such as mosques, schools, madrasas and imaretes were brought to the body. Famous Divan Poet Firin Mehmet Efendi (Pilavci Dede) is the grandson of Ayas Pasha. The mosque has a beautiful fountain and boxwood trees in its garden.
