Amasra Castle was built during the Byzantine period. He had serious repairs during the Genoese and Ottoman periods. There are two different castles in Amasra. One is the Zindan Castle and the other is the Sormagir Castle. The entrance gates and rocks that carry the traces of history are very clear about the ruins of history.
