Great Clock Tower

Seyhan district is located on Ali Münif Street. It was started in 1881 by Governor Ziya Pasha. It was completed by Governor Abidin Pasha in 1972 and the tower was made of cut stone. The tower with a length of 32 meters is in the form of a square prism and the walls of the tower are built with bricks. Base depth is said to be 35 meters. The clock tower is made of rectangular stone bricks. During the construction of the tower, there were clock towers in the Ottoman Empire. Among these clock towers, the longest is the Great Hour. The second is the Dolmabahçe Clock Tower. It is made of small stone bricks, which are quite difficult to knit, and a long time machine was brought from Germany after a long time. It was so strong that it managed to survive the 1998 earthquake in Adana.
